my hair is dirty blonde/light brown and im dying it with garnier fructis med. blonde hair dye. it says to apply to unwashed dry hair. well i need to take a shower tonight so if i take a shower now then dry my hair and dye my hair at like 7 will it still come out okay or what??

They tell you to do that because your hair will have natural protective oils in it. I've dyed my hair without paying attention to that rule and nothing bad happened, but that's why they say to do it. If you don't it's not the end of the world.

you're going to have to wash the hair dye out anyway so that can be your washing for the day..

so just dye and shower when you rinse the dye out instead of applying the dye to WASHED dry hair

the dirtier ur hair is the better the color sticks to it. why not dye it and then wash it after?

it won't turn out very well. HOWEVER an easy way to make your hair dirty again is to put a lot of hair product in it like hairspray, mousse, gel, etc. but you should just dye your hair now or a little bit later, then take a shower with a shower cap on your head later tonite.

OR you could also dye your hair about 45 minutes or so before you plan on taking a shower, then when it's time to rinse out the dye just do it in the shower and then continue washing youself or whatever. that's what i always do!
