Hair dye on bleached hair?

I bleached my hair two days ago, but it came out reddish blonde. I want something like ash blonde. I went to the drugstore today and bought a hair dye, but on the label it says don't use on bleached hair.. what would happen if I use it? (it's only my roots)

You probably don't even want Ash Blonde cause you'll probably complain it looks too grayish.

I don't recommend anyone to bleach their own hair - that really is something you should have done professionally because you can do a lot of damage!

Uh? It says on the label "NOT FOR BLEACHED HAIR" ? and you wonder what would happen if you use it? Follor manufacturers directions and call a doctor, it says right on there not to, and you wonder???? Its only your roots breaking off and washing down the drain. Sweetie, get a clue. Go to a salon and have the services done by a professional, and quit buying rat test color kits.

I would go to a salon. Adding a darker shade to bleached hair is really good for the hair! If you're too embarassed, call one and ask their advice. There are also shampoos you can get to darken your hair without dye. I've dyed my hair professionally and from the box, and believe me they both fade, so don't worry about it. I'm sure it will all work out.

Go to a salon and let them fix it. If you don't , you run the risk of melting the hair off your head....or even having a wierd color because you're not aware of the chemistry involved with doing this. If that happens you're looking at the 250.00-500.00 dollar range to fix it.( if it's fixable). If you go now and have it done professionally it's way cheaper and you'll still have hair to show later.
